¿Porque Bananas?

The health of our missionaries is vital to the success of our missionary labors. We continue to battle "diarrhea" (the dreaded disease of our mission). Parasites are easy to come by...they are in the water, the meat, the fruits and vegetables....They are manageable...but, it is not fun. After a week of diarrhea...they have to send their stool samples to a laboratory to be tested...now tell me, how humbling can that be. It is really funny because most of these Elders have never referred to their bowel movements before the mission and for them to have to explain the consistency of their BM to Sister Cox....must be an interesting experience....Every six months we do a parasite rx for all the missionaries and this was the day. At zone conference in October I shared a power point presentation about the value of bananas in the daily diet of our missionaries and then they took their parasite pills. What fun we have. In the picture is Elder Raya,Salazar,Velez,Call,Laredo,Leo,Peña,Richmond,Gale feasting on a banana.

Well this is certainly a new or should I say "different" responsibility for you Becky. I am glad I only have to hear that report from ONE Elder !!

Power power point on eating bananas? Who would have ever thought? I'm just wondering if it ever crossed your mind to have President Cox sing them the diarrhea song...? We could always make up a couple of applicable verses pretty quick! Especially driving in the car.
