We had opportunity to relax in the beautiful accomodations of the Hotel Weston, receive spiritual training from one another and our Area Presidency and their wives, Pte Duncan, Pte Ochoa and Pte Alonso; travel to the Miraflores Locks and visit the Panama Canal built in 1913, and the city of Gamboa with crocodiles and turtles fighting over pieces of bread Bob would drop from above, white-face monkeys with babies hanging from the trees.......................we enjoyed beautiful weather and created wonderful memories at this seminar.
We were able to observe a section of the Ruta de Gigantes from our boat, expansion project underway to increase capacity of the number and the size of boats that pass through the canal. Right now there are between 34-38 that pass through the canal in a 24 hour period.
An example of the barges that pass through the canal....This one is the Sunbelt Spirit, followed by a small tugboat that is difficult to see in this picture. All in all we had a relaxing, spiritually uplifting break from the CCM but were prepared to return and serve those we love, the missionaries, with all of our heart, might, mind and strength. Thank you to all those who had a part in the preparations for our Seminar.
