¡Tengo Gozo en mi Alma Hoy!

Bob and I had the pleasure of traveling to Cuernavaca for our Mission President Seminar for 2008 this past week. Elder and Sister Holland and Elder and Sister Clayton were the General Authorities attending the Seminar. His opening remarks were "Tengo gozo en mi Alma Hoy" (I have joy in my soul today)and you can be sure that we have come home filled with this "Joy".I am not sure I can adequately capture into words the special love we felt being in the presence of these wonderful leaders of the church. We were upclose and personal with this dear man and for us Californians that is a special treat that will go down in our journals as unforgetable experience. After our instruction, tours and time spent together...we were bading him our farewells and he took each of us, individually into his arms and embraced us as would the Savior and expressed his love and appreciation for the sacrifices we and our families were making for this service. Wow! Needless to say, it was hard to say goodbye and come back to the real world. But we have returned with powerful messages and stronger testimonies of this great latter day work of the Lord, Jesus Christ. How grateful we are for this special privilege to serve. Bob had his birthday during this seminar. Can't think of a better way to celebrate a birthday...than with an Apostle of the Lord. The picture was taken on the ruins of Xochicalco, observing the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpents. I also took of picture of his birthday celebration with the office Elders, Elder Robledo, Moreno, Wille and Rhodehouse.

How exciting for you both. I can't imagine the feeling of his embrace. What a special experience for your birthday dad. I thought of you all day on Friday and wish that I could have flown to see you this weekend to wish you a Happy Birthday...hopefully the "AMAZING PARADE" was a great supplement for you. :)
Anyway...I love you both very much.

Your experiences at your mission Pres. seminar sound amazing. What a blessing to be taught at the feet of an apostle. I am sure that gave you the boost to run forward in your important work in Leon. Thank you for sharing this blessing with us. We love you and are so proud of your service for the Lord and the Leon saints.

Hi,
You mentioned President and Sister Gabbitas in one of your blogs and that they were from Bakersfield. I am trying to locate blogs from the Bill and Cheryl Gabbitas family. If you can lead me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Peggie
