I love to visit Guanajuato and look for every opportunity to walk the streets, shop at their little shops and really feel like I am in Mexico.....Bob was not able to come with us much....and he really doesn't have the same feelings as I do...so we went on our own. He was dealing with discipline issues so we had a few hours and drove up to Pipula...the monument built in honor of the Mexican immigrant that put a slab of concrete on his back and with a torch in his hand broke down the door of the granary where the Royal Spanish forces were contained. The Monument is located on the top of a mountain and overlooks the entire city. We had such a short time to visit so we observed from this vantage point and shopped in the little market at this level. It was great fun.
