Yes, we were all surprised. Saturday Elder Black and Elder Cardon showed up at the mission home...to do a little tour of the mission. What a liar .....that is all I can say. We had gotten wind from Sari Martinez that Elder Black was coming but when we approached him about the visit...he lied his way out and said that he needed the money and would be paid doubletime at the MTC etc...So we dismissed the rumor completely...but to our surprise there he was in real life. What a JOY! Elder Cardon had been with us only 1 transfer before he left so we hadn't known him well before... but it sure was great having them both with us and spending time together Sat and Sun before they scattered. TACOS DE GUERROS turned out to be our favorite hangout during the holiday visits and the owners became quite accustomed to our dinner requests. I think we ate there 4 times with Mark and Tina, once with Elder Paul our new Elder arriving on the 29th...once with Mel, Steve and Bradley and then again with Elder Black and Elder Cardon and our Assts, Elders Diaz and Barajas. Matthew was a good sport because he joined in with each of the new groups arriving. What a treat it was to have one and all with us during the Christmas Vacation.
