Day excursion to San Miguel

Treasures galore...every door we entered. It is a little mind boggling. San Miguel de Allende is in our mission and approximately 2 hours from Leon...but with Bob driving we can get there in 1 1/2 hours. It was a fast trip with a short period of time to wander the streets. Bob always has ants in his pants when in comes to seeing the sights and enjoying the moment....something we've got to improve upon. So for the short time we shared in this tourist city, founded in the late 1500s...we enjoyed our selves. Hermana Mickelson had told me about the pewter and yes, I found my Nacimiento de Mexico in San was a great price and I am really excited for this addition to my collection. All the Centros seem to have the same layout. A Cathedral with a Jardin and then shops all around them. The picture was taken from a bench in the Jardin where Bob patiently waited while we checked all all the goods. Behind each door was a unique shop featuring the talents of local artisans. It was amazing....I could have spent hours exploring. Maybe next time, I will.

What a fun trip this must have been. I love all the old Cathedrals and buildings (and it all looks so CLEAN). Did you get some good treasures?
